I have lived in Bradley County my whole life.  I attended Black Fox Elementary, Bradley Junior High, and Bradley Central High School.  My fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Nancy Block, inspired me to become a teacher.  My high school accounting teacher, Mrs. Pat Minor, sparked my interest in business.  My first year of college, I majored in Business Administration and Accounting.  I eventually realized that I was meant to become a teacher instead of a "number cruncher" and changed my major to elementary education.

My first teaching position was at Westside School in Athens, TN.  While in Athens,  I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.  Westside placed a strong emphasis on incorporating technology into the classroom.  As a result, I gained many valuable teaching experiences in Athens.

I later returned to Bradley County to teach at Oak Grove Elementary.  That is when I fell in love with teaching 3rd grade.  That will always be my favorite age group to teach!

After eight years at Oak Grove, I was able to become a technology coach.  I have found that this is a position that brings new challenges every day.  There's never a dull moment!
